Meet our Bunny Family
Here is a collage of our Beloved Bunnies! It includes five of our happy little ‘mascots’ who share plenty of
space in our hearts and homestead. Our two current Bunnies are both in the upper right corner of the
collage: Red and White ‘Wilbur’ the talking bunny, and ‘Chippewa’ or ‘Chippy’ for short. Chippy is a
female spayed Lion head bunny who was adopted in the spring of 2008; Wilbur is a male neutered Rex
mix who was adopted in the spring of 2004. Both were adopted from Capital Area Humane Society in
Hilliard, OH; a shelter we actively support. Both were abandoned at the shelter, and Wilbur was dumped
outside the facility where a volunteer dog walker found him in the high grasses around the parking lot.
Wilbur is rare in that he ‘talks’ on a regular basis. He has a great video featuring his chatty talent, and
even has his own page on ‘MySpace’ which you can see by visiting www.bunnylover.com and has been
featured on You Tube as well. He is deaf and now blind due to cataracts in both eyes and we are
consulting with the Ohio State University Veterinary Hospital regarding having surgery to restore his sight
in one eye.
